Clear answers to common questions about laparoscopic keyhole surgery, hernia repair, gallbladder removal, and consultations.
Laparoscopic surgery uses small 5mm to 10mm incisions instead of large open cuts. This results in significantly less post-operative pain, minimal blood loss, negligible scarring, lower infection risk, and much faster return to work—typically within 3 to 7 days compared to 4 to 6 weeks for open surgery.
Laparoscopic cholecystectomy is one of the safest and most commonly performed keyhole procedures worldwide. The gallbladder stores bile, but the liver produces it. Once removed, bile flows directly into the small intestine. After a short adjustment period of 2 to 3 weeks, digestion returns completely to normal.
Laparoscopic hernia repairs (TEP/TAPP/IPOM) place the reinforcing mesh behind the defect in the natural preperitoneal plane. Intra-abdominal pressure naturally holds the mesh in place, reducing recurrence rates to under 1% and virtually eliminating chronic groin pain or nerve entrapment associated with open incisions.
Laser proctology (LHP/FiLaC) is a daycare or 24-hour procedure with zero surgical incisions or cuts. Pain is minimal, bleeding is virtually absent, and most patients comfortably resume light desk work and normal bowel habits within 24 to 48 hours.
Please bring your existing Ultrasound abdomen scans, CT or MRI reports and films (if done), Upper GI endoscopy/colonoscopy reports, routine blood test results (CBC, LFT, RFT, Coagulation), and previous medical summaries.
